Means of Production
A market economy from the farm to the steel mill. Start with fields and a bakery selling grain and bread. Research your way up through sawmills and cotton mills, through iron and coal, through the Bessemer process, and on to machinery, steam engines, and rails. Set the ask price on every product — price too high and inventory stacks up; price too low and you clear fast for thin margins.
How it works
- Extract — Build farms, wells, camps, and mines to bring raw commodities into your stockpile.
- Refine — Recipes convert stocked items into more valuable ones. Lumber and steel are both sellable commodities AND inputs to later recipes, so raising their ask price preserves them for your own downstream factories.
- Market — Every sellable item auto-sells at your set ask price. Clearing rate grows as you price below base and shrinks as you price above it.
- Tech — Research unlocks new extractors, recipes, and sellable goods. Farming is free; mining, steam, and railroads are the late-game goals.
- Offline & save — Up to eight hours of offline production accrue when you’re away. Progress saves automatically to your browser’s local storage.
